Working Group 7: Stem Cells and Satellite Paper proposal
satellite paper – Stemness
2 main possible topics:
Concept of stemness/precursors and promoter usage and activity (extension of main paper stem cell subtypes analysis)
-Using different types of stem-like cells (primary cells maintaining lineage differentiation abilities) derived from human and mice (present snapshots 48 human, +iPS-human fibroblasts to be added, 13 mouse), the purpose of the paper should be to establish a set of core promoters and promoter activity able to describe a stem-like biological basin and the biological network/pathways that could be inferred.
--Biological validation:
silencing stemness master regulators in defined stem cell models
upregulating stemness master regulators in non-stem cell models
--Possible participants:
-stem cell providers (Schneider, Kere, Suzuki, …)
-bioinformatics groups for network/pathway discovery (Hide, Meehan, Ogishima..)
Differentiation and de-differentiation -related promoter usage and activity.
Using different types of stem-like samples derived form human and mice (mainly Time-course) the purpose of the paper could be establish a set of core promoters and their activity involved in the transition from a pluripotency state to a differentiated state and vice versa, and the biological network/pathways that could be inferred.
--Biological validation:
Differentiation induction in stem cell models by discovered master genes.
De-differentiation in non-stem cell models by the discovered master genes. . --Possible participants:
-stem cell providers (Schneider, Kere, Hide,…)
-bioinformatics groups for network/pathway discovery (Hide, Meehan,..)
